FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PROWLER LIGHT WEAPONS/RECONNAISSANCE Configuration

Orange, CA, September 6, 2002 -- Based upon comments, suggestions and other feedback regarding the Prowler Light ISR Communications Platform at The NDIA Special Forces Expo, we have configured a Light Weapons/Reconnaissance version.

Some of the more significant changes in the Prowler for this mission include:

  • Major increases in payload rackspace and suspension capacity
  • Operator seating “opened up”
  • Addition of passenger “jump seats”
  • Elimination of side rails
  • Addition of weapon swing arm mount pedestals

Pictures of this configuration are attached. Productions units will be available by the end of this month (September).

With the exception of the points noted above, all other specifications remain the same as on the attached Prowler ISR Communications Platform data sheet.

The new Weapons/Reconnaissance Platform data sheet will also include Prowler’s fordability (up to 30 inches without a snorkel), low noise (80db without suppressor), EMT “Run Flat” Tires and PTO option. These specifications were inadvertently left off the ISR Platform data sheet.

Of special note, we recently tested Prowlers from 6,200 up to 11,706 feet (Coyote Ridge of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range). They performed without a hitch with no fuel mixture adjustments needed.

MOST IMPORTANT: we should be prototype testing our power plant conversion to JP-8 toward the end of this year.

Please let me know your thoughts and comments about this latest Prowler configuration. My 800 number is 203-4800, direct line & V/M (714) 283-0794, email amos@atvcorp.com
